As a longtime superintendent, I have been fortunate to work with many extraordinary board members. I can say without hesitation that Naomi Nakano Matsumoto is truly exceptional. She gives her all for the students of the Fremont Union High School District and spends countless hours ensuring that she knows all she can to make decisions that will positively impact all students. Her extraordinary commitment to equity can be clearly seen in her discussions with colleagues and her policy work. During this year, Naomi has been board president. She provided outstanding leadership to the board while navigating COVID protocols and hiring a new superintendent in addition to the regular board agendas. Her experience as a parent of three graduates of the district along with her many roles in the community, and her last four years on the board of trustees have made her a true leader in making the district even stronger. Reelecting Naomi will ensure that the Fremont Union High School District continues with its commitment to make ALL students successful; and to Naomi all truly means all.
